Family Rides

Tea cup rides are among the most recognizable family attractions in any amusement park. Their secret lies in the combination of three movements happening at the same time. A large circular platform turns in one direction, while smaller turntables mounted on it rotate on their own axis. On each turntable sit the cups, which riders can spin even faster by turning the wheel at the center of their cup. The result is a whirl of curves and changes of direction that never feels the same twice.

What makes tea cup rides so popular with families is that every group decides how intense the experience will be. Younger children can enjoy a gentle ride by leaving the wheel alone, while older kids and adults can turn it hard and push their cup into a fast spin. Parents and children sit together in the same cup, which makes the teacup ride one of the few attractions that the whole family can share from start to finish.

Our Crazy Cup follows the classic layout of tea cup rides. The main platform measures 12 m (39 ft) in diameter and carries four turntables, each holding three interactive cups. Every cup seats up to five passengers, three children and two adults, so the ride can host up to 60 people per cycle within a footprint of 14.5 m (48 ft). The maximum rotation speed is 9 rpm, while the central steering wheel lets riders add their own spin. Children under 105 cm (41 in) can ride when accompanied by an adult.

Each teacup ride we build can be fully customized in colors, decorations and theming, starting from the central element: a classic teapot or any other subject that fits the identity of the park. Safety comes first in every detail. The cup doors are designed to prevent finger injuries and cannot be opened by passengers during operation. Every unit is manufactured in compliance with the regulations of the destination country.
